GABRIEL DEB

GABRIEL DEB ROCHA, 07/JAN/1989

Children usually watch cartoons to enjoy themselves. However, what used to grab his attention in this part of life was, definitely, MTV! His gaze was at the world of videoclips! Ok. When the channel used to transmit those. This curiosity not only for music, but for each single noise that could be interesting to the ears, has been following him during all life.

Gabriel Deb is a curious and sassy hunter DJ. Although young, he has an extensive knowledge about music culture. Such an accuracy to feel the crowd and make ideas flourish from the pick-ups. Fun and professional. When he takes on the decks the ambience changes, people are happy and enjoying. He innovates constantly, blending music knowledge with cutting-edge creativity. His work is original, fresh and always well-received. He has a natural mastery when performing. Music is in his vain.

His influences are from producers as diverse as Africanism, Moby, Kiko Navarro, Gilles Peterson, Gregor Salto and Sergio Mendes. Although the media would define his job in a house and deep house admirer of Latin and Brazilian beats, he puts himself in an eclectic and experimental line. No labels attached for him. People become more interesting, creative, have more ideas when they can cross information, when they are interactive, when they have the opportunity to get experience in different fields, situations.

Deb started DJing in 2009, rocking the Brazilian nightlife scene. In 2011, he lands in Dubai, where he has attended courses in SAE Institute to refine his craft with the best teachers in Middle East, such as the DVJ number 1 Mo Tiger. The result was thrilling gigs in the best clubs and lounges in Middle East and a clearer vision about his music career path. In 2013, he became the official DJ for the Brazilian international brand of beachwear accessories Bloom Brazil and had his residency announced in Izel Supper Club. Nowadays, Karma Kafé Dubai is where he distills his appreciable tunes, sharing the pick up at times with renowned bands, such as Gypsy Kings and High On Heels.
